# Store Settings

> The store-level settings in the Admin: name, logo and platform binding, the checkout's page title, description and favicon, and where environment variables and icons live

A [Store](/ollie-shop/concepts/stores.md) is the link between Ollie Shop and your account on the commerce platform. Everything that applies to the store as a whole, regardless of which [Version](/ollie-shop/concepts/version.md) is live, is configured under **Settings** in the store sidebar.

The Settings page has four tabs:

| Tab | What it holds | Documented in |
| - | - | - |
| **Store Configuration** | Name, logo, platform, platform store ID, delete store | this page |
| **Settings Configuration** | The checkout's page title, description and favicon | this page |
| **Environment Variables** | Per-store secrets injected into your functions | [Environment Variables](/ollie-shop/configuration/env-vars.md) |
| **Icons** | Your own SVG icon sheet for the checkout | [Custom Icons](/ollie-shop/configuration/custom-icons.md) |

Settings → Store Configuration

| Field | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Store Name** | The display name of your store in the Admin. Required. |
| **Logo (optional)** | A URL to your logo image. This is a text field, not an upload: host the image yourself and paste its address. |
| **Platform** | The commerce platform the store is hosted on. VTEX is the option available today. |
| **Platform Store ID** | The ID of your store on the platform. For VTEX this is the account name, the `{account}` in `{account}.vtexcommercestable.com.br`. |

**The Platform Store ID is checked live.** About a second after you stop typing, the Admin calls the platform with that ID. A green check means the account answered; "Store platform ID not found" means it did not, and **Save** stays disabled until it does. The ID you already saved counts as valid without a new check.

All four fields can be changed after the store is created. The organization a store belongs to cannot.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Changing the **Platform Store ID** repoints the checkout at a different account. Every cart, price and order the checkout handles from then on comes from that account. Do this only when you are moving the store on purpose.

### Danger Zone

**Delete Store** removes the store and everything under it: its versions, and through them its components, functions, builds, business rules and environment variables. The action asks for confirmation and cannot be undone. Only the organization **owner** can delete a store (see [Organization and Members](/ollie-shop/configuration/organization-and-members.md)).

## Settings Configuration

Settings → Settings Configuration

This tab sets the three values the checkout uses in the browser tab and in link previews:

| Field | Used for | Default when empty |
| - | - | - |
| **Title** | The `<title>` of every checkout page | `Ollie Shop` |
| **Description** | The page's `<meta name="description">` | `Your limitless shopping experience` |
| **Favicon** | A URL to the icon shown in the browser tab | Ollie's own favicon |

Fill in the values and click **Save Changes**. The checkout picks them up on the next page load; no deploy is needed.

### Reading them from a component

The same values are exposed to custom components through [`useStoreInfo`](/ollie-shop/api/use-store-info):

```tsx theme={"system"}
import { useStoreInfo } from '@ollie-shop/sdk';
export default function StoreTitle() {
  const { settings } = useStoreInfo();
  const title = typeof settings?.title === 'string' ? settings.title : 'Checkout';
  return <h1>{title}</h1>;
}
```

`settings` is an open record (`Record<string, unknown>`), so narrow the type before using a value.

## Where the Store ID is

The store's UUID is shown next to its name at the top of every Settings tab, with a copy button. It is the same ID in the store's Admin URL, `https://admin.ollie.shop/dashboard/store/<store-id>`, and the one `create-ollie-shop` and the CLI's `ollie.json` ask for.
